  • For garnish Red Velvet Cake Crumbs
  • Optional Chocolate Shavings or Chunks

Instructions

  1. Prepare and bake the red velvet cake as per box instructions or your homemade recipe. Let it cool completely. Cut the cake into cubes.
  2. In a medium bowl, prepare the chocolate pudding using cold milk according to package instructions. Let it set in the refrigerator.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped cream until well combined.
  4. In a large trifle dish, start with a layer of red velvet cake cubes. Add a layer of chocolate pudding. Add a layer of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat the layers until the dish is full, usually two or three layers of each.
  5. Top the trifle with a generous layer of the remaining whipped cream. Garnish with red velvet cake crumbs, chocolate shavings or chunks, and drizzle with raspberry sauce for an extra visual and taste appeal.
