Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Cream butter and sugar, then beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. Stir in flour and baking powder until dough forms, chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Roll out dough to ¼-inch thickness, cut into rectangles or face shapes.
  5. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden, then cool completely.
  6. Decorate with royal icing: green for Frankenstein, white bandages for mummies, purple/orange for other monsters.
  7. Add candy eyes and piped stitches/scars for spooky detail.
