Description

A delicious dessert combining cream cheese and fresh strawberries wrapped in flaky puff pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet store-bought puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thick; cut into squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Layer sliced strawberries over the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center of each pastry square. Fold corners towards the center and pinch to seal. Brush with egg wash.
  6. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the puff pastry is fully thawed before rolling it out.
  • For a sweeter filling, adjust the sugar to your taste.
