Description
Delicious and fluffy homemade dinner rolls that are perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast (1 packet)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F or 43°C)
- Additional melted butter for brushing
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, and egg until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl, covering it with a cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes, or until it doubles in size.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, ensuring they are close together.
- Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 20 minutes until they puff up.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter for that extra, mouthwatering finish!
- Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving, and watch them disappear in no time!
Notes
- These rolls are best served warm and brushed with extra melted butter.
- You can store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- Feel free to add herbs or cheeses to the dough for a twist on flavor!
