Description

A delicious homemade plum butter made in a slow cooker.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds plums (pits removed and sliced)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ΒΌ tsp ground cloves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced plums in a slow cooker.
  2. Add the sugar, cinnamon, and cloves if using.
  3. Stir to combine.
  4. Cook on Low for 8–10 hours, lid slightly ajar to let steam escape, stirring occasionally.
  5. Blend the mixture with an immersion blender until smooth.
  6. Cook uncovered for another 30–60 minutes if a thicker texture is desired.
  7. Transfer the hot plum butter to sterilized jars.
  8. Cover with lids and let cool completely.
  9. Refrigerate up to 3 weeks.
