Description

This pineapple simple syrup is perfect for cocktails, desserts, and more!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white sugar (200g)
  • 1 cup water (240ml)
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh, canned or frozen – no need to thaw – 165g)

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a pot and bring to the boil.
  2. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
  4. Place a fine mesh sieve over a bowl and pour in the mixture to remove the pineapple pieces.
  5. Pour into a bottle or jar and store in the refrigerator once completely cooled.

Notes

  • The pineapple simple syrup will thicken further once cool.
