- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Candy eyeballs or marshmallow “eyes” with food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla, then stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto the tray and press a candy eye (or marshmallow with food coloring detail) into each cookie.
- Bake 12–14 minutes until golden and slightly soft in the center.
- Cool slightly so the “eyes” set in place before serving.

- For a more intense flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon.
