Description

Soft, chewy cookies with creepy candy eyes peeking out — a perfect Halloween treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Candy eyeballs or marshmallow “eyes” with food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla, then stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop dough onto the tray and press a candy eye (or marshmallow with food coloring detail) into each cookie.
  6. Bake 12–14 minutes until golden and slightly soft in the center.
  7. Cool slightly so the “eyes” set in place before serving.
