Ingredients

  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp matcha powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp cream (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bring water and butter to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Add flour, stirring until a dough forms. Remove from heat and mix in eggs one at a time.
  3. Pipe or spoon dough onto a baking tray and bake for 25 minutes until golden. Cool completely.
  4. Whip cream, sugar, and matcha powder together until fluffy. Fill cooled puffs with the matcha cream.
  5. Melt chocolate chips with cream until smooth and glossy.
  6. Dip each puff top into the chocolate glaze.
  7. Dust lightly with matcha powder and chill before serving.
