- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet (1 oz) Italian dressing mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Spray your slow cooker with nonstick spray for easy cleanup.
- Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, and chicken broth until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken and top with sliced mushrooms.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, stir in sour cream and season with black pepper before serving.
