Ingredients

- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- ½ cup sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring water, butter, and sugar to a boil; reduce to low heat.
- Stir in flour until dough forms and pulls from sides. Cool for 5 minutes.
- Add egg and vanilla, mixing until smooth and glossy.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
- Pipe heart shapes onto parchment paper and carefully fry until golden, about 2 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels, then toss warm churros in cinnamon sugar.
- Serve immediately with melted chocolate or caramel for dipping.
