Description
A deliciously gooey Hawaiian Roll Grilled Cheese recipe perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
- Prepare the rolls by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Without separating the rolls, slice the entire slab horizontally using a serrated knife. I like to keep my hand gently pressed on top to keep everything even and intact.
- Layer the cheese on the bottom half of the rolls in a baking dish. Layer the cheddar and mozzarella evenly across the surface. The mix of sharp cheddar and creamy mozzarella gives you both flavor and that beautiful stretch when you pull them apart.
- Add the tops by placing the top half of the rolls back on.
- Butter and season: in a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the rolls. Make sure to get into all the little crevices so every bite is flavorful.
- Bake until golden: loosely cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another 5–8 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
- Serve warm: let the Hawaiian Roll Grilled Cheese cool for just a couple of minutes before slicing along the roll lines. Serve immediately while the cheese is still gooey and irresistible.
Notes
- This dish is best served fresh out of the oven.
- You can customize the cheese types to your preference for different flavors.
- Adding additional toppings like cooked bacon or tomatoes can enhance the flavor.
