- 6 large croissants, preferably day-old
- 8 ounces sliced ham
- 8 ounces sliced cheese (Swiss or Gruyere work well)
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the croissants in half and layer them in a greased baking dish.
- Layer the sliced ham and cheese between the croissant halves.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and salt.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the eggs are set.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated overnight.
