Ingredients

  • 6 large croissants, preferably day-old
  • 8 ounces sliced ham
  • 8 ounces sliced cheese (Swiss or Gruyere work well)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the croissants in half and layer them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Layer the sliced ham and cheese between the croissant halves.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the eggs are set.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
