  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, divided
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss the chicken breast pieces with olive oil. Add flour, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper, and stir until the chicken is evenly coated.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Swirl the pan to coat the bottom evenly with melted butter.
  3. Add the coated chicken pieces to the skillet, spacing them evenly. Cook without moving for about 3 minutes until the underside is golden and the chicken is nearly cooked through.
  4. Turn the chicken pieces over and cook for another 2 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, ensuring the chicken is fully cooked and juicy.
  5. Transfer the cooked chicken from the pan to a plate and set aside.
  6. Lower the skillet heat to medium-low and add the remaining butter. Use a spatula to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan for extra flavor.
  7. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet along with the fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley. Toss everything together to coat the chicken thoroughly with the garlic butter sauce.
