- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease up your 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter until well blended.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; mix until evenly combined.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir gently to incorporate.
- Add the flour last and stir just until incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a sweeter bread, you may increase the sugar to 1 cup.
- Make sure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
