Description

This delicious banana bread is perfect for breakfast or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease up your 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  3. Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  4. Stir in the melted butter until well blended.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; mix until evenly combined.
  6. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir gently to incorporate.
  7. Add the flour last and stir just until incorporated.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a sweeter bread, you may increase the sugar to 1 cup.
  • Make sure your bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
