- 2 cups all-purpose or whole wheat flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 cups thick Greek yogurt (strained-style preferred)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: everything bagel seasoning, shredded cheese, cinnamon-sugar, sesame seeds, garlic & herbs, or even chocolate chips for a sweet twist
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add Greek yogurt and mix until a dough forms. Knead gently with floured hands until smooth (about 3–5 minutes).
- Divide dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and form a bagel shape.
- Place on baking sheet. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle on desired toppings.
- Bake for 25–28 minutes or until golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
- For best results, use strained Greek yogurt for a firmer dough.
- Experiment with different toppings to find your favorite combination.
