- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (divided)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mash bananas and whisk with melted butter, eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix wet and dry ingredients together until just combined.
- Fold in half the chocolate chips, then pour batter into the loaf pan.
- Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes until a toothpick comes out almost clean. Cool slightly, slice, and enjoy.
Notes
- Ensure bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain moisture.
- This recipe can be easily doubled for larger gatherings.
