Description

A delicious recipe for crispy chicken breasts served with a rich cream sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko preferred for extra crispiness)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
    • Dredge the chicken in flour, shaking off any excess.
    • Dip each breast into beaten eggs, ensuring they’re coated completely.
    • Press the chicken into breadcrumbs, covering both sides, and set aside.
  2. Fry the Chicken:
    • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook the chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
    • Remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  3. Make the Cream Sauce:
    • In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
    • Pour in the chicken broth and bring it to a simmer.
    • Reduce the heat and stir in the cream and Dijon mustard. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until it begins to thicken.
    • Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
  4. Combine and Serve:
    • Pour the cream sauce over the crispy chicken breasts.
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in a bit of garlic and lemon juice before coating.
  • Keep the oil at medium-high heat to ensure the chicken cooks evenly without burning.
  • If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of paprika or cayenne pepper to the breadcrumbs.
  • Let the sauce cool slightly to thicken further before serving if needed.
