- 6 Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup Rolled oats
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- Vanilla ice cream (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter a baking dish.
- Slice apples and toss with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Spread evenly in dish.
- In a bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.
- Top warm apple crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

- For a sweeter crisp, adjust the amount of brown sugar to taste.
