Delicious strawberry chocolate chip cookies that are soft and chewy.

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced and drained
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Optional additional melted chocolate for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and add the vanilla extract, mixing well to combine.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the diced strawberries, being careful not to overmix.
- Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips to the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop heaping tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
- Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- If desired, melt additional chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler for drizzling over the cooled cookies.
- Use a fork or piping bag to drizzle melted chocolate over each cookie for an extra touch of decadence.
Notes
- Make sure to properly drain the strawberries to avoid excess moisture in the dough.
