Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced and drained
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional additional melted chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and add the vanilla extract, mixing well to combine.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the diced strawberries, being careful not to overmix.
  7. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips to the dough.
  8. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop heaping tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set.
  10. Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  11. If desired, melt additional chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler for drizzling over the cooled cookies.
