Description

This Crispy Orange Chicken is a delicious and flavorful dish that combines crispy chicken thighs with a sweet and tangy orange sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken Thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. Coat chicken pieces in cornstarch and ensure they are well-covered.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan until hot, add chicken pieces, and fry until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In a separate pan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  4. Add the crispy chicken back into the sauce, toss to coat, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, make sure the chicken thighs are coated evenly with cornstarch.
  • You can adjust the sweetness of the sauce by adding more or less sugar according to your taste.
