A delicious Honey Sesame Chicken with Broccoli recipe that is quick and easy to make!

- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts (cut into 1 inch pieces)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups small broccoli florets
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- ¼ cup oyster sauce
- ¼ cup low sodium chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Heat 1 teaspoon of the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 2-3 minutes or until just tender.
- Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for 30 seconds more.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of oil.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper to taste, and add it to the pan. Cook the chicken, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through, 3-4 minutes per side.
- In a bowl, whisk together the oyster sauce, low sodium chicken broth, honey, toasted sesame oil, and soy sauce.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a tablespoon of cold water.
- Pour the oyster sauce mixture over the chicken and broccoli; cook for 30 seconds. Add the cornstarch and bring to a boil; cook for one more minute or until the sauce has just started to thicken.
- Top with sesame seeds and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in soy sauce and honey for about 30 minutes before cooking.
