Jumbo pasta shells filled with savory sausage and ricotta, baked in a creamy cheese sauce.

Ingredients

  • Jumbo pasta shells
  • Italian sausage (cooked, crumbled)
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Heavy cream
  • Garlic (minced)
  • Olive oil
  • Onion (optional)
  • Parsley (for garnish)
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells until al dente, then drain and cool.
  2. In a skillet, cook sausage with onion and garlic until browned.
  3. Mix sausage with ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff each shell with the sausage-cheese mixture.
  5. Arrange shells in a baking dish and pour over a cream sauce made with heavy cream, Parmesan, and garlic.
  6. Top with extra mozzarella and bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Ensure pasta shells are cooked al dente to prevent them from becoming mushy during baking.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • Can substitute Italian sausage with turkey sausage for a lighter option.
