- 8 cannelloni pasta tubes
- 1 lb ground beef or sausage
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 2 tbsp pesto sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, pepper, and parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook cannelloni tubes until just tender; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook beef with garlic, salt, and pepper until browned.
- Combine cooked meat with ricotta and Parmesan, then stuff the mixture into each cannelloni tube.
- Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish and arrange stuffed cannelloni on top.
- Cover with more marinara and sprinkle mozzarella over.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Drizzle with pesto and garnish with parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with mushrooms or lentils.
- Ensure the cannelloni is not overcooked during boiling to prevent breaking.
