Ingredients

  • 2 cups Mashed potatoes
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Flour (for binding)
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned; season with salt and pepper.
  2. Mix mashed potatoes with egg and flour to form a dough-like mixture.
  3. Flatten a portion of potato mixture into a patty, spoon beef filling in the center, add a cube of cheddar, and cover with more potato mixture.
  4. Seal edges and flatten slightly into a cake shape.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet and pan-fry each cake until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with parsley.
  7. Serve warm with sour cream or dipping sauce.
