Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Combine Crumble Mixture: In a large bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Add melted butter and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients, stirring until crumbly.
- Form Base: Firmly press half of the crumble mixture into the prepared baking dish to form the base.
- Prepare Apple Filling: In a separate bowl, toss sliced apples with granulated sugar and lemon juice until evenly coated.
- Assemble the Bars: Layer the apple slices evenly over the base. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apples. Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture over the top of the apples and caramel.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares. This will help them hold their shape.
