Description

Playful burger-look macarons with chocolate ganache “patties” and colorful buttercream “toppings” — a creative twist on the classic French treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder (for chocolate ganache “patty”)
  • Buttercream in red, yellow, and green (for ketchup, cheese, and lettuce effects)
  • Sesame seeds (for topping)
  • Food coloring (tan for shells)

Instructions

  1. Sift almond flour and powdered sugar together for a fine texture.
  2. Whip egg whites with sugar until glossy stiff peaks form, then fold in dry mix and tan coloring.
  3. Pipe round macaron shells and sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a “bun” look.
  4. Let shells rest for 30–40 minutes before baking at 300°F for 15–17 minutes.
  5. Prepare chocolate ganache for the filling and tint buttercream red, yellow, and green.
  6. Pipe ganache in the center and colorful buttercream layers around to resemble burger toppings.
  7. Sandwich together and chill for 1–2 hours before serving for the perfect texture.

Notes

  • Ensure egg whites are at room temperature for better volume.
  • Use a kitchen scale for precise measurements.
